  1. wrong wrong wrong. berba never missed a pen against his former club, what are you on about?? i gave up reading after that…

  2. They say, ” you get what you pay for.” In sulkertov and utd they got exactly what they deserved.

  3. @Scott. You’re right, the penalty to which I’m referring is the one against Everton in the FA Cup semi-final. Wires must’ve crossed. Thanks for calling it. Article has been corrected.

  4. Fair play, at least you corrected it. The boy Berba is a genious, however he is flawed. The pressure has obviously got to him, and although Rooney Berbatov should be a perfect partnership, somehow it just hasnt happened. Berbs just doesnt seem to suit Utds style of swift counter attacking football. Still, I maintain that he has the best 1st touch in the prem, and I beleive he holds the ball up better than anyone else, possibly Rooney aside. I would love to see him play for Spurs again, sadly, I doubt it will ever happen.

  5. For us Spurs fans who predicted it (especially the fact that United fans just wouldn’t accept his insistence that he doesn’t start performing until after Christmas, and his flouncing, moody, sulky ways), this, and the £32 million, almost compensate for the fact that we lost one of the classiest players I have seen in EPL in a long time. The methods used in aacquiring him, and the obvious delight at OT when he signed at being able to use those methods against a team that is trying to compete with them, only heightens this.

Hope next year is even more miserable, Dimi.

p.s. for United fans preparing to launch into a tirade, I have no problem whatsoever with Michael Carrick, as the transfer was handled in the right way, and the player carried on as normal inbetween the first and second approaches.
