The Transfer Tavern has been as rife as it ever has been with talk about just what will happen to Arsene Wenger at the end of the season, with our resident Arsenal fans propping up the slowly (but surely) turning on the Frenchman.
One of the most divisive figures in European football right now, their midweek mauling at the hands of Bayern Munich seems to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for many of our local Gunners. For many, this seems like the end of the Frenchman’s time in charge, in north London anyway.
According to Jason Burt of the Daily Telegraph, Le Prof does seem open to the idea of managing next season, whether it’s with the club he joined over 20 years ago or not. In fact, comments made by the 67-year-old in his pre-match press conference hint he’d like to carry on in football management, regardless of what happens.
Spoken to a few people today + definitely get the sense that if Arsene Wenger leaves Arsenal this summer he still wants to carry on working
