It was a hectic afternoon at the Vitality Stadium yesterday as Mark Hughes’ Stoke City twice battled back to gain a 2-2 draw with Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.
The Potters fans lining the bar here in the pub were a little underwhelmed with what they saw from their team on the South Coast, with many thinking they were going to break their goalscoring duck and win against the Cherries.
And of course, they scored twice away from home but conceded twice in the process, meaning the spoils were shared between teams, who look set to finish pretty comfortably in mid-table.
But for Stoke City, this marks another season of nothingness really for Mark Hughes, who will surely be looking to break back into the top-ten next time around.
And following the game, our Potters-mad barman had a lot to say and so did the rest of social media- here’s some thoughts following the 2-2 draw…
Own worst enemy yesterday warning signs down the left were there all to see all game, poor management not to change it earlier #scfc

.@GaryLineker looking decidedly somnolent discussing #afcb v #scfc on @BBCMOTD. Thought he was going to start changing into his pyjamas.

Hughes is right, if a #SCFC makes that sort of challenge it's red every time! #usual
