Report: Liverpool plotting swoop on 22-year-old as Klopp looks to strengthen attack

Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting Jurgen Klopp to make a number of changes this summer as he looks to turn the side into a more competitive force.

The Reds managed to get to a Champions League final, which ultimately ended in disappointment for the locals in the bar and some of the residents will have been slightly concerned with how the team fared during the final stages of the Premier League.

Klopp has already been busy trying to make his side stronger during the transfer window and has brought in a couple of signings, however, reports are suggesting that he could be about to try and add another centre midfielder to his team.

According to a report in the Sun, Liverpool are considering to challenge Tottenham Hotspur to the possibility of signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa. The Premier League sides know that the Villans need to sell, however, the Reds are considering to jump in on Spurs bid, as talks have stalled over a price.

Landlord’s Verdict

Grealish will be considered a surprise to many in the Tavern, however, there is no doubt about the player’s ability and the type of player he can turn into if his development is continued. The midfielder is still only 22-years-old and was a shining light in a disappointing year for Aston Villa and Klopp obviously sees huge potential in him.
