Knocked out of the EFL cup last night at the hands of bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur, it wasn’t a great night for Manuel Pellegrini and West Ham United. Indeed, after a mini-revival under the Chilean, the Hammers’ issues are looking deep-rooted and there most certainly needs to be an improvement.
However, not every claret and blue star was slated on social media last night, as has (rightly) been the case in weeks and months gone by.
Scotland international Robert Snodgrass continues to make himself really rather important in the Irons’ new-look side, just a few months after returning from his loan spell with Aston Villa. The former Leeds United ace may not have been given much of a chance at the start of the campaign, though looks to be emerging as one of the Hammers’ most important players in this burgeoning new regime.
