Top Premiership clubs are ready to make bids for Arda Turan this summer after it was revealed the attacking midfielder was ready for a move to England. Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs have all been linked with the Turkish international in the past after catching their eye in the Euro 2008 championships.
Despite being under contract until 2014, the Galatasary captain fancies a big-money move abroad, according to his agent.
Ahmet Bulut spoke of his client: “He can only go to one of the top five clubs in the Premier League. If he gets an offer from one of them, then of course he will want to play there.”
Galatasaray rate the player at approximately £13 million but with the top Premier League clubs set to bid it could easily rise to £20 million with the Turkish clubs having no preference to who they sell to.
Turan has been capped 43 times for his country and is only 24. Known for his great dribbling skills and pace he could provide a threat for any team. At 22 he was picked as Galatasaray captain and hasn’t looked back since.
Chelsea are favourites to sign the playmaker as Ancelotti looks to rebuild his team following a disappointing season. Owner Roman Abramovich has been criticised in recent years of losing interest Chelsea Football Club but January certainly showed he is still willing to open his cheque book and this summer should be no different.
