The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern feel reassured after their World Cup winning winger revealed he is fully committed to his Chelsea future, despite interest from the Spanish champions.
According to the Mirror, Andre Schurrle has said that he is happy to fight for his place in the first team at Chelsea, even though Atletico Madrid are desperate to snap up the 23-year-old.
Reports suggest Atletico boss, Diego Simeone, admires Schurrle for his ability and his mentality, as he was in and out of Jose Mourinho’s starting line up last season, meaning he featured as a substitute 20 times, but still persisted on getting into the side.
You cannot argue his impact on the team as he provides pace, a fantastic work-rate and also a good attacking instinct, which led to punters in the Tavern saying that this is the reason Mourinho will be so keen to keep him as he fits the style of play to a tee.
Schurrle said: “Mourinho has given me this feeling that I would be a big part of the team. He plans with me and he wants me in this team and he wants to play me.
“That’s why I want to stay at this club. Everything here is good for me. I have the pressure to perform, I have the pressure to do well in training.
“I have the great fans that all support me here and so there was no question for me that I would leave this club in the summer.
“I just want to take the chances I get, improve my game, improve myself and we’ll see what happens.”

We can leave on without him
Pls we love you here andre schurrle!!! Don’t go anywhere stay with us!!!
Of course it will be a big loss! Schurlle is one of our most importants players now and even in the future! He’s humble,he’s showing his love for Chelsea,he’s very very passionate to be a Chelsea player; I think that the most important thing of him and he always do his best whenever given chance; he can score or assist! He always wanna learn! He’s not like Eden Hasard who said the other time that if his wife tells him to quit Chelsea,he’ll do so! Is he a true blue??? Hell no! He thinks he’s bigger than Chelsea so,those are the kind of player we must let go but definitly not Andre Schurlle please!
