Celtic were in the January transfer market to try and find a right-back to strengthen their squad and it appears that they managed to get a deal over the line in the final minutes.
With the futures of Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa in the air as their contracts are set to expire in the summer and Anthony Ralston on the sidelines, it became a priority for Brendan Rodgers.
The club have confirmed on their official website that Jeremy Toljan has joined the club on a loan until the end of the season from Borussia Dortmund.
The right-back has plenty of experience and has represented the Germany Under-21’s at the national level.
He was out of favour at the Bundesliga leaders this season, despite having played a prominent role for the club last season.
Toljan is a great addition for Celtic and will likely play a key role in the side as they look to retain their Scottish Premiership title.
The 24-year-old has played in some of Europe’s biggest competitions already and will look to make an impact in the short time that he will be with the club.
Toljan follows the likes of Timothy Weah, Oliver Burke and Vakoun Issouf Bayo and will want to get involved immediately.
