Celtic fans were absolutely bursting with excitement yesterday as they went into their home clash against Aberdeen with the chance to go ten points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier League. It didn’t quite go to plan though did it? The Hoops fell to a lacklustre 0-0 draw and found themselves fuming at Neil Lennon.
NL: “We’ve had three really difficult games to negotiate in the last 10 days and we’ve come out of it unscathed. We’ll get them together again, get a couple of days’ rest and then move forward.” #CELABE

It wasn’t the performance of the side that had the fans annoyed at their stand-in gaffer, but instead, it was the fact that the new head coach at Parkhead came out with absolute drivel as an excuse for failing to pick up all three points. The ex-Hibs man came out and claimed that it’s always hard to negotiate the fixtures with three games in ten days, despite facing the Dandies after a week-long break.
If any of his players were flailing or fatigued from their last game against Hibs that came a full seven days before yesterday’s draw then Lennon should be considering whether or not those are the fitness levels required from a professional footballer. If anything, the man that started the Bhoys’ path to ten in a row is only now showing exactly why he’s not the man to be at the club if they want to complete it, with the fans shocked at the Rodgers-esque comments.

The Bhoys were livid with the fact that Lennon used the time between games as his excuse and will be expecting a vast improvement when they travel to Dundee next Sunday.
