Sometimes winding the opposition up on a football pitch can prove to be a tactical move that can swing a game, and whenever anyone faces Alfredo Morelos on a football pitch it seems to be worth getting under the Colombian’s skin. That’s exactly what Scott Brown did yesterday as his antics prompted Morelos to lash out and get dismissed.
31′ – Alfredo Morelos is shown a straight red card after lashing out at Celtic captain @ScottBrown8 in an off the ball incident.

Morelos would have been filled with anger from seeing his side ship the first goal of the game and go 1-0 down, however, his actions after that are inexcusable. Scott Brown obviously knew what he was doing as he clipped the heels of the Rangers man off the ball, leading to Morelos throwing an elbow at Brown and taking any choice the officials had away as the Celtic skipper chuckled away in the background.
The press in both Scotland and England have been following Morelos closely this season considering the numbers he’s been posting, but despite his combined 40 goals and assists in all competitions this season his tally of five red cards and 17 yellows makes him one of the biggest liabilities in world football. To be baited so easily in such a big game is shambolic and could end up costing him his big break, although it goes without saying that the Hoops absolutely loved it.

El buffalo no, the maniac is a better description. He knows he’s not good enough to score against us & does anything to get off the park. @ScottBrown8 chuckles at the end, though COYBIG into these animals

Three things in life are certain. Death. Taxes and a Morelos red card at Celtic Park

The Bhoys were truly in dreamland when they watched Morelos fall into the trap Brown laid him so easily, and it will have made their Old Firm success even sweeter.
