Celtic fans on Twitter keen to get back to winning ways against St Johnstone later

Celtic suffered a shock defeat against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday and the fans were far from pleased. The football that they’ve been producing has been turgid of late and the fans are now ready for the Hoops to get back to winning ways and play better football at McDiarmid Park tonight.

Travelling to Perth to face St Johnstone won’t be easy but that won’t matter for The Bhoys. They’ll be desperate to put the fans who have been questioning them back in their place with a big result and a place in the Scottish League Cup semi-final. Rangers will also be in action against Ayr United and a win for Brendan Rodgers’ side could set up a mouthwatering semi against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.

St Johnstone will be looking to get back to winning ways in the same way Celtic will later, Tommy Wright’s side are fresh off the back of a 5-1 drumming at Ibrox and whilst Celtic will be desperate to compound their misery in tonight’s midweek match. After this match, it’s back to Scottish Premier League action for Celtic and they’ll be facing a tough clash against Aberdeen, so gaining momentum tonight will be crucial.

The Celtic fans are desperate to be celebrating a win later and will hope their side can do it in style.
