Celtic fans on Twitter livid over Rangers referee

Yesterday saw Rangers get back on track in the Scottish Premier League when they travelled to Hamilton Accies and came away with a comfortable 4-1 win. However, Celtic fans watching the game were fuming as with the score at 1-1 with ten minutes left to play, referee Andrew Dallas gave two penalties in six minutes to near enough guarantee the Gers the points.

James Tavernier duly stepped up to bury both of the spot-kicks before Alfredo Morelos added one more goal late on to seal the victory, but when you look back at the game, a 4-1 scoreline is extremely harsh on Hamilton. Gerrard so far has done a great job at Ibrox but the one question mark over him has been his away form domestically, the win yesterday was a great result but had it not been for the referee’s influence, it could have been very different.

The main gripe that The Bhoys have is that they don’t believe they’d have won the game if it was them playing and not Rangers. The fans are accusing Dallas of purposely giving Rangers penalties to ease the pressure on Gerrard and keep them in the title race. Whilst it’s very unlikely that the SFA had a hand in Rangers win, it hasn’t stopped the angry Celtic fans from taking to Twitter to slate both Rangers, the SFA and the referee.

Celtic fans everywhere are fuming over Dallas’ performance and will hope he’s dropped from officiating Scottish Premier League matches.
