Celtic fans on Twitter slam shoddy Ntcham

Celtic fans may have been pleased to get over the line last night against St Mirren but it was a game marred by controversy. A Celtic fan throwing a flashbang onto the pitch will grab the headlines, and rightly so, but the Hoops have been trying to focus on the football, and as a result of that, they’ve been slating Olivier Ntcham.

Emilio Izaguirre’s cross results in a @saintmirrenfc handball, however, the spot kick from @OlivierNtcham is saved by Vaclav Hladky. The rebounded effort strikes the crossbar.

The 23-year-old’s form this season has been far from impressive, and whilst he may have plenty of time to develop and regain his best form that we saw under Brendan Rodgers last season, we all know football fans have little patience. Last night was just another nail in the Frenchman’s coffin, after missing a penalty on the half an hour mark the midfielder failed to get into the game and looked lazy throughout.
If he’s to make a name for himself and get into the Bhoys’ midfield permanently then last night cannot be his benchmark. There are some promising young players coming through at Parkhead at the moment, and if Ntcham isn’t quick to restore some form to his game then he could well find himself being left out by Neil Lennon before facing a summer exit, and surely the talented youngster doesn’t want that.

Well let the worst player so far take the pen?

I might cry at how bad Ntcham is at football

Can't believe he missed this. Seriously

Lenny looked disappointed despite the win & I’m sure it was due to the lackluster Ntcham & Burke’s inaccuracy. Personally I think Ntcham is lazy, slow & was way off the boil long before he got injured. Burke looked like a player who’s confidence is off because Lenny dropped him..

Thought Ntcham had a howler

Ntcham was brutal tonight

The Bhoys were all in agreement that last night wasn’t Ntcham’s best game for the club and they’ll be keen to see the Frenchman put it right against Livingston on Saturday.
