Celtic fans have made it pretty clear that they’re not all massive fans of Mikael Lustig this season. The Hoops were delighted when Brendan Rodgers was able to bring in Jeremy Toljan on loan from Borussia Dortmund, and when the German wasn’t in the starting lineup yesterday, the fans weren’t best pleased with Neil Lennon.

The Bhoys absolutely love the way that Neil Lennon has taken over, however, the first mistake he’s made in terms of his team selection came during his return to his former club Hibs. The Bhoys were gutted to see that their team lineup didn’t include their German loanee and they’d have loved to have seen the impressive young defender up and down the right flank.
Toljan wasn’t fancied at Dortmund by Lucien Favre, leading to the now-hated Rodgers bringing him to Parkhead. Whilst Rodgers may not be welcomed back to the club, they would have happily welcomed Toljan into the starting eleven yesterday as opposed to Lustig, who is viewed as someone well past it now, with his legs gone and his game deteriorating, the fans would love to see him gone in summer.

Great to see what looks like 4-4-2 but I’m a bit surprised by Toljan bein dripped for Lustig…. I’ve praised Lustig over the years but I do like the look of Toljan…. only time will tell…. Mon the hoops

Lusting why? And midfield with nobody that can pass a ball. Henderson should be in.

The Bhoys hated seeing Lustig starting and would much rather see Toljan return to the lineup for their clash against Aberdeen.
