Celtic fans on Twitter weren’t happy as Tierney missed Kilmarnock clash

It says a lot about the talent of young Kieran Tierney that at the age of just 21 and as a left-back he’s already become one of the Hoops best players and when he isn’t starting the fans have a genuine fear about the game. However, that’s just a testament to the young man’s ability and when he was ruled out of Saturday’s win with illness the fans weren’t best pleased.

It’s fair to say that the Hoops got on just fine without their starting left-back as they smashed their way to a 5-1 win over the Scottish Premier League leaders, taking that spot for themselves as they aim to make it eight titles in a row come to the end of the season. However, if they are to do that, they will need the 21-year-old left-back returning to the side sooner rather than later.

We haven’t even reached Christmas yet and Tierney has already racked up an incredible 30 appearances for the season across the different European qualifiers, group stage matches and domestic games that the Hoops have had to play in so far, and as the Bhoys look like qualifying from their Europa League group, having the Scottish defender back and in the side will be absolutely crucial, especially with RB Salzburg visiting Parkhead on Thursday.

The Hoops were gutted to see Tierney miss out and will just hope he can be back in time for their Europa League clash on Thursday.
