Celtic fans know that with one more win this Saturday they will forever leave Rangers in their shadow, and what a sweet feeling that will be. The treble-treble will likely never be achieved again, and whilst a lot of the Bhoys are preparing themselves for the crunch-match against Hearts, some have taken to Twitter to slam Steven Gerrard.
“Gerrard has outperformed expectations.”
No trophy, but there have been positives for Steven Gerrard in his first season as manager of Rangers.

A BBC story has gone up, to the delight of loads of Celtic fans, talking about how despite the season ended at Ibrox without any silverware, it was still a success given Gerrard’s inexperience and his efforts in his first season in senior management. However, Celtic fans have loved this and have jumped in and are slating the former Liverpool and England captain for his work this campaign.
As far as they’re concerned, the Gers have been abysmal and despite the obvious highs of winning two Old Firms, Rangers’ lack of trophies should not be lauded by the fans. As Celtic are ready to celebrate a 9th straight domestic honour without allowing any other Scottish side to claim an honour, they’ve loved seeing journalists and pundits delight at Rangers who have ended trophyless.
You can read the Bhoys’ verdict on Gerrard’s season here:
He has failed utterly. No trophies, horrendous disciplinary record and a bloated squad.

Funny, he’s been poor at best. If that’s all this club can offer, and more importantly accept then Celtic are on easy Street.

He got them to their First ever Second Place, Sorry First Loser in their Short History, they only finished NINE POINTS behind the Double, Treble, Champions, But at the end of the day he still hasn't won a League Title, and that is all that counts. Long may it continue, 8 In A Row

The Bhoys have loved getting a chuckle from the Gerrard praise and will hope for it continue for a long time so long as the Gers are trophyless.
