Brendan Rodgers will be preparing his Celtic side for a tough trip away to St. Mirren on Friday night and could be in the fortunate position to name the same side that beat Rangers before the international break.
The Hoops will be looking to continue where they left off against their Old Firm rivals and will be boosted by the fact that all the players that featured in that game remain available for Friday’s match with St. Mirren.
Daniel Arzani is still thought to be a little way away from making an appearance for Celtic, as he looks to get up to speed following his arrival from Manchester City on a season-long loan deal.
However, the game may have come slightly too early for a couple of Rodgers’ players, with the likes of Jack Hendry, Marvin Compper and Lewis Morgan all making a return to training following their respective injury concerns.
On paper, Celtic would be considered strong favourites to win the match at the Simple Digital Arena on Friday.
The Bhoys have a far superior squad compared to their opponents and will have been buoyed by the result against their Old Firm rivals Rangers prior to the international break.
However, the Scottish Premiership champions have had a difficult start to their campaign, with some poor performances and coupled with the fact that St. Mirren have a new manager at the helm, they could be in for a tricky time on Friday night.
