Celtic have already made some impressive attacking additions to their squad this winter.
Oliver Burke, Timothy Weah and Vakoun Issouf Bayo have all arrived at Celtic Park this January as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen his team’s chances of retaining their Scottish Premiership title.
However, it appears he could be interested in taking one of England’s hottest prospects across the border.
The 20-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is believed to have told the League One side that he will not sign a new deal to remain at the Stadium of Light.
However, the Hoops are expected to face some stiff competition for the striker as his performances this season has impressed many in England and abroad.
With Burke and Weah both joining on loan deals, getting Maja to agree to a pre-contract agreement could be a great move for Celtic.
Maja, who has 15 goals in his 29 matches this season, is a really exciting prospect and could add to the Bhoys in a huge way in the future if they were to land him.
However, with a number of clubs thought to be interested in the 20-year-old, Rodgers could have a huge battle on his hands to land him.
