Celtic have appeared to look rather shaky at the back this season, however, it appears that Brendan Rodgers could look to rectify that in January.
The left-back, who currently plays his football for Russian Premier League outfit Akhmat Grozny, caught a number of clubs attention with his performances at the World Cup for Iran.
Rodgers is thought to be keen on reinforcing his back line and Mohammadi would bring some cover and added competition to Kieran Tierney.
However, it is thought the Bhoys could face some stern competition for the 25-year-old, with the likes of Watford and Fenerbahce both thought to be ready to battle for him.
Although a new left-back is not really a priority for Celtic, Mohammadi could still be an excellent signing for the club to make.
The Hoops already have Tierney and Emilio Izaguirre in the squad, but should the 25-year-old become available, then he is a player the Scottish Premiership champions should not pass on.
With his contract up in the summer, it remains to be seen if Grozny will be prepared to cash in on him, or whether Celtic will look to add him for nothing in the summer.
