Celtic are thought to be looking to bolster their attacking ranks this winter as they appear to be facing a real threat to their dominance of Scottish football.
The Bhoys only have Odsonne Edouard as their recognised senior forward, although Leigh Griffiths could make a potential return to the squad before the winter break is over.
Vakoun Issouf Bayo has been heavily linked with a move to the current Scottish Premiership champions and is thought to be close to joining them.
It is understood that the 21-year-old is now just awaiting a work permit to be allowed to make the deal official.
Bayo is an exciting potential signing for Celtic and could be a brilliant addition to the side as they look to retain their title.
The Ivorian has been in fine form for Dunajska Streda this season, having hit 18 goals in his 23 games for the Slovakian outfit.
It remains to be seen if the 21-year-old will be handed a work permit, which could leave Rodgers and Celtic an anxious wait.
