Celtic are believed to be considering a hugely ambitious swoop this January.
The 35-year-old is looking for a new team after being released from his deal with Olympiakos after just five appearances for the Greek outfit.
It is claimed Brendan Rodgers could look to use Kolo Toure, Yaya’s brother, in their efforts to try and lure him to the Scottish Premiership.
The former Ivory Coast international is hugely experienced and has won trophies in a number of top-flight leagues, including three Premier League titles with Manchester City most recently.
Toure is a hugely ambitious signing for Celtic, although it could be one to be difficult to completely rule out from happening.
With Kolo at the club, the experienced Ivorian may be tempted to head to the Scottish Premiership champions to try and help them combat the challenge from Rangers in the second half of the season.
There would be no doubt that the 35-year-old’s potential arrival will be a huge coup for the Hoops, however, it may be a move too ambitious even for Rodgers’ side.
