Celtic will make their return to Scottish Premiership football with a home match against Hibernian on Saturday.
The Bhoys will welcome the Edinburgh outfit to Celtic Park as they look to leapfrog them in the table into second place.
Celtic have not had the best of starts to their campaign, whilst Hibs, who are managed by former Hoop Neil Lennon, have had an impressive one of their own.
Leigh Griffiths is a major doubt for the game after he missed training, with Rodgers revealing that he has been suffering from illness.
“Unfortunately, he’s been ill so we’ll have to see if he’ll be available for tomorrow,” he said.
However, Celtic will have been buoyed by the fact that skipper Scott Brown could be set to feature for the home side after he made a return to training from a hamstring injury.
Griffiths’ potential absence could be a huge blow for Celtic as they look to take all three points against Hibs.
The striker has been a key player for the side since joining from the Edinburgh outfit in 2014 and would likely have played an important role for the side on Saturday.
However, Rodgers is likely to keep Odsonne Edouard in his starting lineup for the game, with Griffiths possibly making the bench.
