Celtic will be looking to improve their form drastically and will want to see an improved performance against St. Johnstone on Wednesday night.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are the current holders of the Scottish Cup and will want to be in a position to defend it, however, a potentially difficult away day awaits them and a place in the semi-final.
The Bhoys are coming off the back of a late defeat from their last outing and the manager could make a number of changes to ensure his side are ready for the challenge.
The young goalkeeper has featured for the Hoops in the previous cup games and is likely to keep his place in the starting XI.
Emilio Izaguirre, Christian Gamboa and Kristoffer Ajer could all feature for the Bhoys in defence, whilst Lewis Morgan may get a runout from the beginning after impressing during the Kilmarnock defeat.
Jozo Simunovic remains the only absentee for Celtic, although Rodgers will be pleased to hear that his experienced centre-back is closing in on a return from a knee problem.
Initially, Celtic would have been considered strong favourites to book their place in the Scottish Cup semi-final, however, things have not been going their way recently.
Rodgers’ side are currently on their worst run of form at the moment for 20 years and will be looking to make amends against the Saints.
The changes could be a blessing to the side on Wednesday, with the players all out to prove themselves, although St. Johnstone have proven in the past that they can handle themselves against the Scottish Premiership champions.
