Celtic will mark their return to Scottish Premiership action in 2019 when they meet St. Mirren at Celtic Park on Wednesday night.
The Bhoys will want to get their league campaign off to the best possible start following their defeat to Old Firm rivals Rangers before the winter break.
Brendan Rodgers has a couple of new faces with the team for the second half of the season, however, it appears some of his main men are on the verge of returning to the side.
Rodgers admitted that it was great to have them back, although he did reveal the game against St. Mirren had come too quickly for the pair.
“It’s great news that Odsonne is back in training with the squad,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’ll probably be too early for him on Wednesday, though. Olivier will probably be next week, too, which will be great for us.”
Celtic will want to come out of the traps as quickly as possible and will want to ensure they record a win against St. Mirren at Parkhead on Wednesday night.
Although both Edouard and Ntcham are unlikely to feature, the news that they are on the verge of returning will be greeted with a positive reaction.
The pair have been influential for The Bhoys with their performances over the past season or so and their returns will come at a timely point of the campaign.
