Brendan Rodgers is looking to bolster his attacking ranks at Celtic this January when the transfer window opens.
The Bhoys are currently lacking options when it comes to forwards and it was evident during their performance against Rangers in their Old Firm derby defeat at the weekend.
Vakoun Issouf Bayo has been speculated about a move to Celtic Park recently after he has attracted interest with his performances in Slovakia.
The Ivorian, who is currently playing his football with Dunajska Streda, has netted 14 goals in his 25 appearances this season.
A club source said: “As for Bayo, there’s no question he is an exciting prospect. No bid has been made at this moment in time but he’s certainly someone we’re interested in.”
Bayo has clearly shown that he has potential and his goalscoring exploits will create some excitement around Celtic.
The Ivorian could be an inspired signing for the Scottish Premiership champions as they look to retain their title.
However, with the club yet to make an offer for the 21-year-old, it remains to be seen if he will be playing his football at Celtic Park come January.
