Amazing Celtic XI to secure title under Rodgers

Amazing Celtic XI to secure title under Rodgers

Celtic managed to get the better of Rangers in the first Old Firm clash of the new campaign last time out as things are looking up under Brendan Rodgers.

The Hoops are definitely the favourites to secure the Scottish Premiership title after gaining the upper-hand in the first Old Firm clash. Indeed, the Scottish club have been impressive so far this season but they still remain behind Hearts in the table, who have enjoyed a perfect start to the new campaign.

It’s important that Brendan Rodgers can identify his best XI and that they can consistently produce good results as the title race is far from over.

So, in an ideal world where injuries aren’t a problem, here’s an idea of what Rodgers’ amazing XI should look like…

CELTIC’S AMAZING XI

We’ve gone with a 4-2-3-1 formation, as that is the formation that Rodgers has enjoyed plenty of success from during his time as Celtic boss, with the attacking three posing a huge threat to the opposition.

Craig Gordon has always been able to ensure consistency since making the move to Parkhead, and nothing has changed in the current campaign.

Dedryck Boyata looked solid at the back against Rangers last time out, while Kristoffer Ajer has also put in a number of accomplished displays this season as a mainstay in the side. Indeed, Mikael Lustig almost found himself on the scoresheet last time out, and Kieran Tierney is always impressive as one of the world’s hottest prospects.

In midfield, Celtic’s iconic captain Scott Brown will lead by example and provide a wealth of experience when needed, with Olivier Ntcham’s goalscoring abilities and creativity help contribute in the final third.

The Hoops’ attacking three will consist of Callum McGregor, James Forrest and Tom Rogic. Indeed, the latter was crucial in the treble-winning campaign last time out and will be just as important this time round, while the likes of McGregor and Forrest are two of Celtic’s most creative sparks in the side.

Lastly, summer signing Odsonne Edouard will lead the line by himself having already found the back of the net on a number of occasions so far this season.
