Brendan Rodgers’ line-up has invoked the ire of Celtic supporters

Despite a recent upturn in league form, the Celtic frustration in European competition continued last night with a loss away at Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in the Europa League.

Indeed, while the journey over to Eastern Germany was never going to be easy, Bhoys online vented their anger on Twitter last night as Brendan Rodgers’ seemingly weak side slumped to a rather miserable defeat.

In essence, a quick-fire double ten minutes before the end of the first-half is what killed the travelling green and white army. Both Matheus Cunha and Bruma made the Scottish champions’ task nigh on impossible, though negativity amongst those on social media started well before then.

In fact, it started before a ball had been kicked.

Rodgers opted to field the likes of Ryan Christie, Lewis Morgan and Eboue Kouassi for the game, a relatively inexperienced trio, leaving his side weak throughout the core. A statement to the board perhaps, though not one that went down well with supporters on Twitter.

With that in mind, here’s a look at how Celtic fans fumed at Brendan Rodgers last night.
