Celtic: Fans admit Neil Lennon was right about Scott Sinclair - Celtic

Some Celtic fans are furious with the Europa League performance of Scott Sinclair, who did not take his chance to impress in Thursday night’s clash in Romania.

Celtic’s defeat to CFR Cluj means nothing in the long run, as Neil Lennon’s side were already qualified at the top of their group.

However, it was a great chance for the gaffer to see some of his fringe and youth players perform, and it’s fair to say very few of them grasped the opportunity.

Moritz Bauer was horrific, and Sinclair may have been even worse, racking up the lowest match rating of any player on Sofascore, scoring just 6.0 out of 10 in the 2-0 defeat.

Per Sofascore, the former player of the year won just one out of nine duels, surrendered possession 14 times, completed just 22 passes, took no shots and completed just one dribble.

It was a display that proved Lennon right in leaving the 30 year-old out in the cold for most of this season, as you can tell from the Twitter reactions down below…
