Neil Lennon has revealed that striker Leigh Griffiths will be a few weeks away from being ready to return for Celtic as he continues his recovery from injury and illness as reported by The Daily Record.
Will Leigh Griffiths play for Celtic again?
Lennon said of Griffiths recovery after his last update informed Hoops fans that the striker was back training “on the grass”:
“He needs to get up to condition physically – hopefully he can do that over the next few weeks”.
Now that the international break now in full flow, Lennon will be keen for Griffiths to put in some decent shifts to improve his fitness with Odsonne Edouard as his only fit striker. After all, the former Hibernian ace has bagged 107 goals in just 221 games for the Hoops, as per Transfermarkt.
Bhoys fans took to Twitter with the latest revelation about Griffiths and his recent omission with many believing that they have seen the last of him in a green and white hooped shirt, despite Lennon’s words.
Sadly , I dont think he will comeback , we heard this before about him and a return to fitness etc. There is something blocking his return apart from physical fitness, hope I’m wrong as he’s a great goal scorer.

We have to face the situation. We may never see him again,or we might. We cannot rely on that,we need a striker to step in for Edouard now.Spend big to win the title.

Clubs fed up with his attitude, continued to help him but he doesn’t want to help himself

He was injured, but supposed to have a stinking attitude, think he will be gone in January,
