Scotland manager Steve Clarke yesterday named his squad for the team’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Russia and Belgium.
Celtic posted the squad on their official Twitter channel @CelticFC after three of their players – James Forrest, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie – were included.

The trio were among seven Scottish Premiership players to make the squad, along with Kilmarnock duo Greg Taylor and Stephen O’Donnell, Rangers’ Ryan Jack and Hearts’ Steven Naismith.
Forrest has won 30 caps for Scotland to date, scoring five goals for his country. He made his senior debut back in 2011 against Republic of Ireland and memorably scored a hat-trick against Israel last year to ensure that the Scots won their UEFA Nations League group and will at least be in a play-off for Euro 2020.
McGregor, who has been capped 13 times, made his Scotland debut two years ago in a 0-1 defeat to Netherlands. Christie was also given his Scotland senior debut in that game and has since gone on to win five caps.
However, there was no place in the squad for either Leigh Griffiths or Mikey Johnston, and these Celtic fans on Twitter took issue with their omissions:
Mikey J should be there

Game came too soon for Griffiths but can pick Naismith who has been out with injury

Surely @Leighgriff09 should be in there. Maybe not full match fit but would give the selected strikers a run for their money.
