Celtic: Fans call for Odsonne Edouard to be given a new deal after hat-trick

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard continued his sensational scoring form for France under-21s last night, scoring a hat-trick against Slovakia to bring his tally to nine goal in four international appearances, as noted by The Scottish Sun.

The 21-year-old forward’s club also trumpeted the remarkable goal return on their official Twitter channel @CelticFC after the match.

He continued that scoring run with two more goals in a 5-0 thrashing of Azerbaijan last week before going one better as the French under-21s beat Slovakia 5-3 in European Championships qualifying last night.

Edouard, who is currently contracted to Celtic until 2022, has also scored nine goals at club level this season after hitting 22 last term and has attracted some interest from the continent, with Monaco reportedly attempting to sign him during the summer (as per L’Equipe, via Sport Witness) and Borussia Dortmund sending scouts to watch him (as per Sky.de‘s Man Bielefeld, via Sport Witness).

These Celtic fans on Twitter begged for the club to do all they can to get him to commit to the Hoops following his latest scoring exploits on the international stage:
