Celtic: Fans discuss Brian McClair following post on Twitter

A Celtic fan account has posted a video on Twitter, showing some of former Hoops player Brian McClair’s best highlights at the club, and a lot of the fanbase are praising the Scotsman.
The forward played for the Bhoys between 1983-1987, playing 129 times in the league and scoring 99 goals, whilst also playing 33 times in the Cups and scoring 20 goals, via Soccerbase. He also managed to win the title and Scottish Cup once, whilst winning the Player of the Year award in 1987.
The attacker clearly had a great eye for the back of the net with a great goal to game ratio, and there are many fantastic goals he has scored which have stayed in the memories of the Hoops fanbase. One replied to the post saying: “Superb player”.
The players total transfer fees only cost £950,000, via Soccerbase, during his career which also included a spell at Manchester United, and you can only wonder how much such a great player like him would cost in today’s market.
Here is what fans had to say about the player:

Really big fan of Brian , if he had not been sold he would have broken records with Celtic . He could score , link up and above all, was a tireless worker . Great player !!

Some player. Also only 30 caps while winning leagues for Man United and European trophies. We must be the only country ever to have had so many top players with pathetic cap amounts. No wonder we were glorious failures.
