Celtic: Fans divided by transfer links with Andraz Sporar

Lots of Celtic fans have been reacting to some transfer news, after The Daily Mail claimed the Hoops are eyeing a £5m move for Slovenian striker Andraz Sporar.
According to the report, Neil Lennon wants to boost his striking options in the January transfer window.
Beyond Odsonne Edouard the Bhoys boss doesn’t really have too many options up front, and if injuries strike the title chasers in the second half of the season arch-rivals Rangers have Jermain Defoe to call on.
It therefore makes sense for Celtic to target another forward in the winter window, and the report claims they sent scouts to watch Sporar in Europa League action for Slovan Bratislava last Thursday.
His side were beaten 4-2 by Sporting Braga, but he does have 20 goals and five assists this season in 26 games, per Transfermarkt.
Lennon has denied the interest, per The Scottish Sun, but he also suggested he and his coaching staff have not looked at January transfer targets yet, which seems scarcely believable on December 16, so the gaffer may just be keeping his cards close to his chest.
Plenty of fans have reacted to the transfer links, and the Twitter reactions down below suggest there is a divide in the Parkhead faithful…

Looks like he would do a good job. Great record

Saw him in a couple of Europa League games this year, the boy looks decent. Celtic do need some additional fire power, so happy to see they are interested. Thanks for sharing.

Yes. Wouldn’t be a fan of that signing.

Too many disappointments in the past to get excited about this.
