Wednesday marks the one-year anniversary of Brendan Rodgers leaving Celtic to take the vacant managerial post at Leicester, which led to Neil Lennon being promoted to the main Parkhead gig on an interim basis (as per BBC). Ahead of that landmark, Four Tims and a Pod on Twitter (@PodTims) asked followers for their thoughts on the current Foxes boss and the job he did at Celtic.
One year tomorrow since Brendan Rodgers left Celtic for Leicester
We will be recording a special episode discussing him, his exit, his successor and his legacy a year on.
We want to know your thoughts on him now, are Celtic a better team without him, and any other thoughts pic.twitter.com/SjGJ5T3Cj5

Rodgers came to Parkhead in summer 2016 and won a domestic treble in his first season with the Hoops, repeating the feat in 2017/18. He also led the club to a third successive Betfred Cup last season before swapping Glasgow for Leicester in February 2019. While his domestic achievements were plentiful, Celtic were hit for seven by both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League during his time in charge.
Lennon completed the ‘treble treble‘ last season and has retained the Betfred Cup this term, as well as having Celtic on course for a ninth successive Premiership title and well placed to reach the last 16 of the Europa League.
Rodgers remains a divisive figure among these Hoops fans on Twitter, some of whom appreciate his contribution to the club while he was there and others still scorned by the abruptness with which he jumped ship for the English Premier League:
Brendan Rodgers was a revelation at Celtic. He laid the foundations for the treble treble and gave us the unforgettable Invincible season. Lennon has carried this on and probably improved the team. The only mistake Rodgers made was leaving at the wrong time. Still a club legend.

Taking emotion out of it. With nothing to back this up. Stadium & surroundings improved, sports science and training facilities improved. Social media & retail improved. Feel this wouldn’t have happened without BR

Was instrumental in changing the attitude of the club. Forever grateful, hope he has a good career in the soulless premier league

The entire club is better without him. A fraud to his toenails HH

Rodgers is a mercenary and we are better off without him, we now have a man in charge who has a GENUINE love for the club, has us playing better football AND has us performing in Europe. I know who I prefer👍🏻

He’s a rat and always will be. He’ll miss us before we miss him.
