Celtic: Fans hail Scott Brown for his performance in Old Firm

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown was commended by a number of the club’s supporters for his performance in yesterday’s 2-0 win in the Glasgow derby.
After the match, the Hoops captain saluted goalscoring team-mates Odsonne Edouard and Jonny Hayes on Twitter while adding tongue-in-cheek that he will now have a few days of downtime with the upcoming international break (via @ScottBrown8).

The 34-year-old has been capped 55 times by Scotland, making his senior debut back in 2005, and after briefly retiring from the international scene in 2016 prior to making a comeback, he retired from the national team indefinitely in February 2018.
Three of Brown’s Celtic team-mates will report for duty with Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad this week, with Ryan Christie, James Forrest and Callum McGregor all included. [via ScottishFA.co.uk]
