Plenty of Celtic fans have been showing their appreciation for midfielder Tom Rogic after the club tweeted (via @CelticFC) about the seven-year anniversary of his arrival at Parkhead.
The Australian signed for the Hoops on January 17th, 2013 from Central Coast Mariners in his homeland and has since gone on to play 178 times for the Glasgow club, scoring 37 goals in that time and winning 13 trophies.
Among the standout moments for Rogic at Celtic was his winning goal in the 2017 Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen, which secured a domestic treble for the Hoops and completed an unbeaten season in Scotland under Brendan Rodgers (as per BBC). A year previously, he won the club’s goal of the season award for his 30-yard strike against Kilmarnock in March 2016 (as per ABC News Australia).
Unfortunately, the 27-year-old has also been dogged by injuries during his time at Parkhead, missing 30 games in 2019 due to knee problems. He has only made 11 appearances so far this season, with five of those as a substitute.
Despite injuries frequently curtailing his involvement in the team, these Celtic fans took to Twitter to laud the Australian attacking midfielder, with one supporter claiming to have met Rogic praising him as a “lovely guy”:
My son and I had the pleasure of meeting Tom, lovely guy ⚽

What have you made of Rogic during his seven years at Celtic? Could he have made even more of an impact had it not been for his injury troubles? Share your views in the comments section below!
