Celtic: Fans hail Virgil van Dijk after seeing online clip of him speaking about Scott Brown

Former Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk had a catch-up with Hoops skipper and ex-teammate Scott Brown recently, with the Dutch international speaking highly of the 34-year-old.
Goal.com reporter Neil Jones shared a video on Twitter (via @neiljonesgoal) which shows the two players conversing with one another directly before commenting on each other separately.

In the clip, Van Dijk said that he had looked at Celtic’s team in detail before sealing his move to Parkhead from Groningen in 2013, commenting: “I think everybody knows Scott Brown anyway, so before I arrived there I was like: How will he be? Will he be that crazy outside the pitch as he is on it?”
Van Dijk, who is now at Liverpool and the current PFA Player of the Year and UEFA Men’s Player of the Year, scored 15 goals in 115 games for Celtic before leaving for Southampton in 2015 for £13m, as reported by BBC.
His standing as one of the world’s best defenders is reflected in his runner-up finish in The Best FIFA Men’s Player award for 2019 and his nomination for this year’s Ballon D’Or.
These Celtic fans on Twitter enjoyed Van Dijk’s comments in the video and continue to hold the 28-year-old in very high regard:
