Celtic: Fans hope that Nir Bitton will remain at Parkhead

A lot of Celtic fans were discussing Nir Bitton after a fan page asked on Twitter whether the club should keep or sell the player.
The defensive midfielder joined from Israeli side FC Ashdod for £738,000 in 2013, as per Transfermarkt, and has been a good squad player ever since, featuring 211 times across his seven seasons at the club, with 12 goals and 14 assists along the way.
Do you think the club should keep or sell Nir Bitton?
Keep

Sell

The Israeli frequently has to settle for a place on the bench and he seems to be fine with that as he has stayed at the club for so long. This makes him an ideal player to have in and around the squad and many fans seem to agree with this as they want the club to keep hold of the midfielder.
The 28-year-old has also won his fair share of silverware at Parkhead, including six league titles and five domestic cups (as per Transfermarkt), which could be part of the reason as to why the player is happy in Glasgow, so it currently seems like a match made in heaven for both Bitton and the club.
Here is what these Celtic fans had to say following the tweet:

Keep. Ideal squad player / back-up.
More so, given he understands that is his role. And doesn’t go in huff, when not starting— Gazzarinho (@gazzarinho1) May 11, 2020
