A number of Celtic fans on Twitter lauded the performance of midfielder Olivier Ntcham on a magnificent Wednesday night for player and club.
The Frenchman was moved to an attacking midfield role for the game against Hearts and he responded by scoring the first of the Hoops’ five goals as they cruised to victory at Parkhead, finishing to the net on 30 minutes at the second time of asking after Odsonne Edouard’s initial shot was parried by Joel Pereira (as per Sky Sports).
That was the 24-year-old’s second goal in as many games, having marked his birthday on Sunday by netting against Clyde, and he now has three goals since the winter break and eight for the season so far. [via TransferMarkt]
Aside from his goal, some reporters acknowledged other strong aspects of Ntcham’s game against Hearts. Hamish Carton of 67hailhail.com wrote that “you could see the confidence brimming in his every move against the Jambos” while Read Celtic‘s Mizgan Masani felt that he “cruised along after the break with ease” as the Hoops added four goals in the second half.
These Celtic fans on Twitter were delighted with Ntcham’s latest performance for the club, with one supporter describing him as “immense”:
Ntcham is unstoppable and undroppable atm

Shows you what a class act Ntcham is when he can keep arguably our POTY, Ryan christie, out of the starting 11

What a performance fae Ntcham again, maybe we’re not “shoehorning him in”, maybe we’re just playing the best midfielder in the country in his preferred position and he’s proving as to why we’re doing so. What a player.
