Celtic: Fans laud Tom Rogic after assist for Odsonne Edouard in win at Hamilton - Celtic

Many Celtic fans were praising the contribution of midfielder Tom Rogic to one of their goals in Sunday’s 4-1 victory over Hamilton.

With the Hoops 2-1 to the good 10 minutes from full-time, having only just taken the lead after conceding first, the Australian was involved in a neat one-two with Odsonne Edouard and played a deft pass to slip in the French striker for his second goal of the afternoon and give Celtic a long-awaited cushion in the game. Rogic was only on the field for five minutes at that point, having replaced debutant right-back Stephen Welsh as Neil Lennon sought to turn the screw with the teams level at the time, but still had enough time to register his fourth assist of the season in a campaign that has seen him struggle for regular inclusion in the first XI.

Amy Canavan of Read Celtic praised the 27-year-old’s 14-minute cameo at New Douglas Park, attesting to his “delightful link-up play for Edouardโ€™s second” and adding that he “looked well up for it”. These Hoops fans on Twitter also showed their appreciation for Rogic’s contribution to the team’s latest victory:

How good was Rogic’s pass to Edouard for Celtic’s third goal against Hamilton? Do you think he deserves to feature more regularly for the Hoops? Comment below with your views!
