Celtic: Fans lavish Harry Hood with praise on anniversary of ex-player’s signing

Celtic fans were lavishing Harry Hood with praise on what was the 51st anniversary since the Scotsman signed for the famous club.
It was on this day (16th March) in 1969 when Hood signed for the Glasgow outfit from Scottish side Clyde for just £40k, a move that would prove to be a bargain. He went on to have a brilliant career with the club, making 312 appearances and scoring 123 goals for the Hoops. It proved to be a fruitful time as the forward won 12 major trophies, including a staggering six league titles (via The Celtic Wiki).
Prior to Moussa Dembele’s hat-trick for the Celtic Park outfit in the November 2016 Old Firm derby, Hood was the last player to notch up three goals in the fierce fixture against rivals Rangers (via BBC). Supporters were full of complimentary messages for the ex-centre-forward as they remembered him 51 years after he signed for the club. Here are some of the reactions:
We don’t need no Colin Stein
Eusebio, or Alan Gilzean
We’ve got somebody twice as good

Scored for Celtic in my first live game at Tynecastle 1971. Always had a soft spot for Harry.
