Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, the team’s top scorer last season with 22 goals, has picked up where he left off by finding the net with regularity in the opening weeks of the current campaign.
The 21-year-old is already on five goals and four assists from nine appearances this season, as tweeted by @CelticBible after he found the net in the Hoops’ 2-0 Europa League play-off first-leg win over AIK last night.

The French forward’s current figures for 2019/20 work out at 0.56 goals and 0.44 assists per game. If he can maintain that throughout the season, he will surpass his averages for both metrics from 2018/19.
He ended last season with 22 goals and eight assists from 52 appearances, an average of 0.42 goals and 0.15 assists per game.
Of his five goals so far this season, three have come in European competition. His goal against AIK last night follows the two he scored in the Champions League qualifiers against Sarajevo and CFR Cluj.
