A post on Twitter from Celtic talking about Craig Gordon and his emotional ‘Invincibles’ celebration has left many fans praising the goalkeeper.
The 37 year-old joined the club in 2014 after taking a two year break from football, per Transfermarkt, and it seemed like his career was going to be very average at best. However the Scottish international has had his best spell on the pitch with the Hoops, picking up five league titles and nine domestic cup titles.
The best of these clearly was in the 2016/17 campaign and Gordon talked to the club about his memorable reaction to Tom Rogic’s last-minute Treble-winning goal of the campaign.
The 54-time Scotland international said, via Celtic FC: “You can go through your career and have highs and win trophies, but to be an Invincible, to be part of history and to be part of something that will be remembered at this club forever – that’s incredible.”
Clearly it meant a lot to him, and you could tell at the time as the goalkeeper dropped to his knees when Rogic scored and pointed his arms and head up towards the sky.
Here is what fans had to say following the tweet:

Too many do not appreciate that this man was a retired coach at Dumbarton due to injury prior to his Celtic career. https://t.co/6qZDE7zyeP
