A lot of Celtic fans praised their fellow supporters following a video from Lisbon Lion on Twitter showing the moment the club last failed to win the Premiership title.
Even though they beat Motherwell 4-0 back in 2011, it was still not enough to win the league as Rangers beat Kilmarnock to mathematically claim the title on the last day by one point, via BBC Sport.
Even though this might not be the type of moment many clubs would wish to revisit, some Hoops fans have been reminiscing about the match against Motherwell because of the manner in which the supporters got behind the team to support them even though they knew the title was lost.
This is why they are known across the globe for their fantastic support and this was even noticed by FIFA, who gave them the ‘Best Fans of the Year’ award back in 2017, as per The Scotsman.
Here is what these Celtic fans had to say following the tweet:
Morning all, welcome to a new week. These scenes are from 9 years ago when Celtic last lost the title. Lennon said after the game 'This isn't the end, this is just the beginning' How right he was. pic.twitter.com/QulrZld5Lo

Remember that day well. Great atmosphere and Lennon definitely brought us all together. So glad he’s back in charge.

Remember the day vividly. Hope more than expectation before the game. Them going three up at Killie actually galvanised the fans. God Bless Neil Lennon!

One of my favourite games ever – atmosphere was incredible. Was a tribute to TB before the game as well which produced a few tears.

I was there that day – it didn’t feel like we’d lost a title.
