As Celtic celebrate their ninth title in a row, it is not just current players and staff who are getting in touch with fans via social media. Ex-Hoops player Erik Sviatchenko has also voiced his congratulations on Twitter, much to the delight of many supporters.
The 28 year-old centre-back played for the club from 2015 to 2017, making 63 appearances in all competitions with two goals and four assists along the way, via Transfermarkt. He played his part in getting the club to their ninth title in a row as he was part of the campaigns which saw the club pick up their fifth and sixth titles in succession.
Many fans appreciate his service whilst at the club and have flocked to his tweet to praise him, with one saying: ‘Erik you played your part too enjoy it’. Sviatchenko returned to his home nation Denmark to play for FC Midtjylland but left fond memories during his career in Scotland.
