Celtic fans are raving after their 1967 home jersey was named in the top 20 football shirts in history by France Football Magazine, according to Celtic FC.
This is a notable list to be added to as the magazine are organisers of the Ballon d’Or Award, which decides who the greatest player of the year has been across Europe.
The home kit which the club wore in the 1966-67 campaign came twelth and the season is one that remains fond in the memories of Celtic fans as the club won the European Cup for the first time when they beat Inter Milan 2-1 in Lisbon, per Transfermarkt.
By claiming victory, they also became the first British side to win the tournament and it is still something that they have bragging rights over arch-rivals Rangers for as they are yet to win the cup, per Celtic FC.
Fans clearly love the kit that the club wore that campaign as they flooded over to Twitter to talk about it, with one saying: “Just get Adidas to replicate the 1967 shirt and they wouldn’t be able to keep up with the demand.”
Here is how other fans reacted to the post:
That kit is the best in UK history and no discussions will be entered into.💭🍀🇮🇪
