Celtic: Fans react humorously after Christopher Jullien’s botched celebration against Hearts - Celtic

A number of Celtic fans on social media were in a humorous mood following one moment in their team’s resounding victory on Wednesday night.

Christopher Jullien scored the second of their five goals against Hearts at Parkhead just after half-time and, while his header may have been clinical, his response to the goal seemed far less assured. As noted by Celtic Underground on Twitter (@celticrumours), his attempted knee slide celebration saw him untidily hit the turf face-first, with the tongue-in-cheek comment that he “must try harder” with his celebratory moves.

The French defender executed a rather more graceful knee slide a couple of months ago after he scored the winner in the Betfred Cup final against Rangers, as per this clip from @tirnaog09 on Twitter, and joked about the one which went wrong on Wednesday on his Twitter account @Chri6ViF.

Jullien’s goal against Hearts was his fourth in the Premiership and his seventh in all competitions this season, with only five players in Neil Lennon’s squad boasting a higher tally. However, that didn’t stop these Celtic fans on Twitter from having a laugh about his botched knee slide celebration on Wednesday:
