Celtic: Fans react sarcastically to Betfred Cup quarter-final draw

Celtic needed extra time to see off the challenge of Championship side Dunfermline to progress to the quarter-finals of the Betfred Cup on Saturday.
James Forrest’s 114th-minute goal eventually took Neil Lennon’s team through as their bid for a fourth consecutive domestic treble nearly came unstuck very early in the season. [via Sky Sports]
The Hoops will again be at home to Championship opposition in the next round as they welcome fellow Glaswegian club Partick Thistle to Celtic Park in the last eight, as noted by the club’s official Twitter channel.

The quarter-final tie will take place between September 24th and 26th, with full fixture details to be announced in due course.
Partick Thistle have already eliminated one Premiership side to make it to this stage of the competition, beating Ross County 3-2 after extra time on Saturday.
The trip to Celtic Park will be their sixth match in the tournament this season, having also come out of the group stage with 10 points from four games.
For Celtic, the uncomfortable win over Dunfermline at the weekend came off the back of a hugely disappointing home defeat by CFR Cluj last week that knocked them out of the Champions League.
These Hoops fans were in sarcastic and self-deprecating mode upon finding out their opposition in the Betfred Cup quarter-finals:
Should be a nail biter

Can we ask them to switch to Firhill? Give us a chance?

Hopefully we can pull off an upset and beat them.
