Celtic: Fans react to Boli Bolingoli’s comments about Scott Brown

Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli has sung the praises of team-mate and captain Scott Brown, hailing the midfielder’s leadership and motivation qualities.

Speaking with @CelticTV, the 24-year-old used phrases such as “big leader”, “legend” and “a real captain” in describing Brown.

Bolingoli added that he looks up to Brown and cited the Scotland international’s combative nature in last weekend’s derby win, adding that he sees the 33-year-old midfielder as an amiable person away from the field of play. [via @CelticBible]

The Belgian left-back came to Celtic this summer from Rapid Vienna and, after featuring in the Glasgow derby last Sunday, he has now played in 12 of the Hoops’ 13 games so far this season.

Bolingoli came in for some criticism for his early performances at Celtic Park, with Football Scotland writer Jonathan McFarlane saying that he “will have to sharpen up considerably“.

However, he now seems to be settling into the side, with Sky Sports reporter Allan Valente describing his performance at Ibrox as “composed“.
