Celtic supporters have been in high spirits in recent times after seeing their team head into the season’s first international break off the back of victory in the Old Firm derby.
Brendan Rodgers’ men went into their meeting with bitter rivals Rangers having qualified for the group stages of the Europa League a matter of days earlier, and they stretched their winning run in all competitions to three matches by edging past the Gers 1-0 at Parkhead. Olivier Ntcham’s strike proved to be enough to seal all three points for Rodgers’ side, thus moving them up to second in the Scottish Premiership, three points behind leaders Hearts, but already four points clear of Steven Gerrard’s Light Blues.
As such, there have been many satisfied Celtic fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom are likely to be intrigued by recent comments from Gabriel Agbonlahor, in which he has made a ‘come-and-get-me’ plea to Bhoys chief Rodgers.
The 31-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Aston Villa at the expiration of his contract earlier this summer, which thus brought a lengthy association with the Midlands giants to an end having come up through the youth ranks at Villa Park, before going on to make 391 appearances for the Championship side.
Yet the former England international played and indeed netted in a charity match at Parkhead over the weekend, from which he then opened the door to a switch to Celtic, stating that he will speak to manager Rodgers and ‘see what happens’.
And these comments stimulated quite a response from many Bhoys supporters on Twitter, with several delivering a damning verdict regarding whether or not to sign the £900,000-rated striker (as per Transfermarkt)…
Thanks but no thanks.

If our front two were injured he could keep them company while they’re on the treatment table. The guy’s done – would rather take my chances offering Marvin Compper a new five year deal.
